Presentation:  This presentation provides an overview of the robotics program at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which is developing and deploying advances in measurement science to improve robotic system performance, collaboration, and agility in assembly-centric manufacturing applications. Of specific emphasis will be the Agility Performance of Robotic Systems project, which is developing robot agility performance metrics and test methods that will enable manufacturers to easily and rapidly reconfigure and re-task robotic systems. To realize this vision, NIST is planning the Agile Robotics for Industrial Automation Competition, which will also be described.

Note: Students receive free meal, compliments of 2HB.
