The Chesapeake Chapter recognizes Mr. John Thomas as the Systems Engineer of the Year for 2004. Mr. Thomas excels in the three key evaluation areas: Project Impact, Outreach, and Professional Service. In particular, he reviews and approves the technical integrity of all technical documentation for approximately 15 ongoing systems initiatives; he has led an integrated team of more than 70 engineers from twelve companies that developed a hybrid technical architecture; and he is the Management Advocate/Sponsor for the Booz Allen Hamilton System Engineers Certification Program. He has authored and briefed approximately 10 Booz Allen Hamilton senior management papers/briefings on topics such as Service Based Architecture Integration & Test Methodologies, and Business Process Integration within the Overall Systems Engineering Process. Finally, he has been active in Chesapeake INCOSE Chapter as program director and now President Elect (2004).
