The Chesapeake Chapter recognizes Mr. Stephen J. Sutton, P.E. as the Systems Engineer of the Year for 2007. Mr. Sutton is recognized as a Systems Engineering Subject Matter Expert by his DoD customer and the engineering community. Mr. Sutton has led large engineering teams staffed by multiple companies to define and implement engineering processes and workflow covering the entire system lifecycle.
Mr. Sutton served as the Northrop Grumman Information Technology sector representative to the corporate Systems Engineering Advisory Group. This Industry-Government Working Group endeavors to establish an effective liaison between Northrop Grumman and Government agencies, academic institutions, standards bodies, and professional societies concerned with the practice of systems engineering.
Mr. Sutton has authored multiple articles for the INCOSE INSIGHT publication; authored and presented papers at the INCOSE International Symposium; hosted INCOSE working groups as a session chair; and serves as the co-chair of the Anti-Terrorism International Working Group. Mr. Sutton is an active, contributing member of the Chesapeake INCOSE Chapter and a Past Chesapeake Chapter President (2002).
