A Systems View of Whole-Enterprise Enterprise Architecture
By: Marc Gewertz
May 17, 2017 6:00pm Networking and Dinner, 7:00pm Lecture
Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory Building 1 (Lecture in Parsons Auditorium)
Presentation: There is much confusion across business, government and non-profit organizations as to exactly what the differences are between the business practices of Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, and IT Architecture. Most is due to overlap of interests and many differences in terminology between architects, managers and executives, especially when their activities are coupled with external organizations, customers and stakeholders with different interests and needs, a common working environment in today's marketplace. Through the lens of a systems perspective of an enterprise in a start-up environment, the basic and fundamental capabilities are systematically differentiated and defined, including the roles and responsibilities for architecting and managing each capability.
