SECOND Award 2005: JAMES B. CHISM

JimMr. James B. Chism is a distinguished practitioner of systems engineering and a teacher of future systems engineers. His career spans more than forty years and includes significant accomplishments in Government, industry, and academia. Mr. Chism joined INCOSE in 1996, served as the President of the INCOSE Chesapeake Chapter in 2003, was the founding Chair of the Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Methods INCOSE Working Group, was Co-Chair of the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook v.3, and was the Co-Chair of the INCOSE Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference that successfully completed on November 4, 2004. These distinctive accomplishments led to Mr. Chism’s designation as Systems Engineer of the Year 2005 in the Chesapeake Chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering.
