THIRD Award 2006: L. MARK WALKER

StephenThe INCOSE Chesapeake Chapter recognizes Mr. L. Mark Walker, CSEP, as the 2006 Systems Engineer of the Year. Mr. Walker has been active in the Chesapeake INCOSE Chapter since its inception. He served as its first President-Elect and twice as President.

During the award period, Mr. Walker led three SE teams. Each team prepared SE process documents, an Enterprise SEMP, and Architecture Process & Procedures. He participated in the development of standards, requirements, and End-to-End threads. He personally developed a detailed SE process model of ISO 15288 (SE Process Standard) which was the basis for an INCOSE article presented at both the INCOSE Mid Atlantic Regional Conference in 2004 and the INCOSE Symposium in 2005.

Mr. Walker has served as a member of the INCOSE Steering Committee for the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook. He is a member of the INCOSE OOSEM WG, worked on the INCOSE Standards Tech Committee, is the Liaison for the ISO TC184/SC5 for its four Enterprise Architecture Standards, is a member of the INCOSE SE Sciences Enabling Group, and participated in the Architecture WG.
