Dear Chesapeake Chapter Members,

Over the years, many of you have made generous gifts to the INCOSE Foundation and I want to take a few moments to thank you. We are grateful to you not only for your contributions but for the commitment of your time to advancing Systems Engineering.

You will not be surprised, I am sure, that we are also asking for you to consider sending a gift this year - or your first gift if you are not now a donor - so the Foundation is able to continue this kind of support and deepen our bond with INCOSE overall.

The Chesapeake Chapter has long been a supporter of the INCOSE Foundation. The INCOSE Foundation Chesapeake Chapter Fund is used to award annual scholarships to Systems Engineering students at all levels of study. Over the past three years, this Fund awarded more than $20,000 in scholarships thanks to your generous support.

As a systems engineer and lifelong learner, I am always looking for ways to grow both personally and professionally and to better serve those practitioners within our industry at all levels of their careers. That’s why I contribute annually to the INCOSE Foundation.

As I mentioned earlier, the INCOSE Foundation does important work through its ability to bestow grants and scholarships directly from the Foundation or indirectly by facilitating the annual Stevens gifts, Chesapeake Chapter and San Diego Chapter annual gifts, making a big difference in the lives of very well-qualified people. We are, as I write this, considering grants in some new directions, including accessibility to INCOSE products for those who may need help reading the materials and/or using audio technology. We will surely keep you posted.

There are different levels of support suggested below and, of course, a way for you to contribute whatever amount you are comfortable giving. If you have any questions or are interested in contributing additional items that can be used for raffle or silent auction at our Annual Wine Soiree Fundraiser [taking place in Torrance, CA at the International Workshop (IW) in January 2020] please feel free to contact me. Whatever the type or size of your gift, we thank you in advance for your consideration and wish you a safe, happy and healthy holiday season!

Sincerely,

Ellie
